Campus Radio Station CJAM 99.1FM is celebrating 30 years on the FM Dial. This celebration will also coincide with the station’s annual Pledge Drive which runs from November 1st to November 16th.
Every year the station calls on their listeners and supporters for financial aid in the form of donations to keep our station operating. This year’s Pledge Drive aims to raise $30,000; these funds amount to 20% of their annual budget.
This year several special fundraising events planned including:
October 31st: A Halloween Party at FM Lounge (156 Chatham Street West) featuring local experimental act Star Trek: The Band.
November 2nd: A reunion of the local rock sensation Measured In Angles for a performance at FM Lounge (156 Chatham Street West). Opening support from Windsor’s What Seas What Shores and Learning.
November 15th: CJAM’s official anniversary party at The Loop (Corner of Chatham and Ferry – Upper Level) featuring DJ sets spanning the stations 30 years.
November 16th: CJAM’s “Art of Music” gallery show featuring over a dozen locally based painters, illustrators and photographers at POP Hair Gallery (973 Erie Street East).
