Working Smoke Alarm Prevents Fire

Windsor Fire credits a working smoke alarm and an alert neighbor from preventing a fire at a downtown apartment building.
Officials say that another tenant in the building located at 445 Gengarry Avenue heard the alarm go off in a 5th floor unit and called 911.
Fire crews arrived to find light smoke in the unit and a pot left unattended on the stove.
There was no fire and the smoke was cleared from the building.
No one was injured and their was no damage.
