The closing ceremonies for the International Children’s Games take place Sunday night starting with a Parade of Athletes at 5:45pm.

1,300 athletes and 500 volunteers will parade through the streets of Downtown Windsor starting from city Hall Square to Park Street, west on Park Street to Ouellette Avenue, and then north on Ouellette to Festival Plaza.

The flag will be lowered and the game’s flame will be extinguished. Once the formalities are over, the party for the athletes will kick into high gear.

Athletes, delegates and volunteers will be fed, and there will be concessions for the public. Everyone will be entertained by International DJ/Producer Josh Karmin. There will be a flyby and fireworks will end the evening just after 10pm.

The event is free to everyone.
