Windsor Spitfires Announce Dates For Their Season Opener and Winter Classic Game

The Windsor Spitfires will open their 2013-2014 season on Thursday September 19th, when they take on former Spitfire assistant coach DJ Smith as he leads the Oshawa Generals into the WFCU Centre.
The team also announced the official time for the OHL Winter Classic outdoor game at Comerica Park, which sees the Spits take on the Saginaw Spirit at 1pm on Sunday December 29th.
New to the schedule this season are seven Saturday night home games, which go along with 18 Thursday night games, seven on Sunday afternoons, along with a New Year’s Eve Day matinee on Tuesday December 31st.
