Eight year old Liam Doyle had a special request for his birthday this year: he didn’t want any presents.
Instead, he requested his family and friends make a donation to help those living with cancer. The reason was simple, with two of his uncles recently undergoing treatment, Liam wanted to help them and others like them.
Today Liam presented a cheque to the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation for $575, and then celebrated the donation with birthday cake for all of his classmates.
“We gratefully accept this donation to the Cancer Centre Foundation. We are appreciative of each and every gift, but give special thanks to someone so young and noble of heart”, stated Communications Coordinator, Kerri Hill, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the Foundation.
