Dancers Needed For International Children’s Games

The Windsor-Essex International Children’s Games is looking for local dancers to showcase their ability in front of an audience of thousands.
Dancers of all ages are being sought to perform in the Game’s opening ceremonies August 15th at the WFCU Centre.
Multiple choreographers and hundreds of dancers in a concert style production make this a rare, can’t miss, opportunity.
Auditions will take place on Saturday at the Edmunds Towers School of Dance located at 2555 Jefferson Boulevard in the Jefferson Plaza.
The schedule is as follows:
10am – Male and Female dancers ages 5-8. Wear running shoes and comfortable clothing, will be learning choreography in groups of 30.
12pm – Male and Female dancers ages 9-12. Wear running shoes will be learning contemporary and Hip Hop choreography in groups of 50.
2pm – Male and Female dancers ages 13-25. Wear running shoes will be learning contemporary and Hip Hop choreography in groups of 50.
4pm – Male and Female breakers/tricksters/freestylers/B-Boys and B-Girls. Wear comfortable clothes, will be asked to freestyle in groups of 10.
As well, any parents, who may wish to be a backstage volunteer for the Opening Ceremonies, United Way will be registering volunteers all day on Saturday. Check this link to see what you need to volunteer.
