Three people escaped injury after their canoe tipped in the Detroit River Sunday evening.
Police say it happened around 8:15pm in the area of Solidarity Towers in the 8800 block of Riverside Drive East. Luckily after the canoe tipped, some nearby boaters came to their rescue and pulled them from the water.
Two males and a female all in there early 20’s were brought to shore and did not require any medical attention.
The US Coast Guard had been called in, but was cancelled once they were pulled from the water.
