The City of Windsor is looking for volunteers to help spruce up Forest Glade Arena this coming weekend.
The spruce up is part of Lowe’s Community Rink Renovation Program, a program aimed at helping to rebuild minor hockey in Canada, one rink at a time. Each year, the Lowe’s grant program works with Hockey Canada to select two neighbourhood rinks in need of renovation. This year, Windsor and London are recipients of the program’s funding.
All you need to do is donate three hours of your time for painting, cleaning and other tasks on either Saturday or Sunday. Times are from 9am to noon or noon to 3pm each day.
All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. If interested, you can register online here.
