Around 9:45am this morning, emergency crews were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Stewart Line, just north of Wallaceburg.

Police say that when they arrived they found a blue Dodge Ram 2500 truck submerged in the water. The 66-year-old male driver from Wallaceburg was transported to Sydenham District Hospital with absent vital signs.

Medical personnel attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit is currently investigating the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Mike Pearce at 519-355-1092.
