Smokers from across Ontario have the opportunity to take part in a program to help them quit smoking for free.
STOP, which stands for Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients, is a program that provides nicotine replacement therapy free of charge.
For many smokers the cost of nicotine replacement products can be a barrier to quitting. The STOP Program provides five weeks of free NRT, a practical support for alleviation of nicotine withdrawal symptoms, which has been shown to be effective to help people quit smoking.
STOP workshops will be held in Leamington, Essex, and Windsor on March 18th 19th and 20th respectively. To see if you are eligible to participate, and to register for the workshop(s) call 519-258-2146 ext. 3100 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm.
