Another blast of Winter is expected to hit the region starting this afternoon.

Environment Canada says that a low pressure system over Arkansas this morning is forecast to track northeast to Illinois this afternoon then to Northern Ohio by Wednesday morning.

Current indications show that a mixture of wet snow and rain will move into our region this afternoon, as temperatures will be near or slightly above the zero degree mark.

The mixed precipitation will then spread into South-Central Ontario including the Greater Toronto area and the Niagara Peninsula this evening. Rain will be more predominant near Lake Erie and along the shoreline of Lake Ontario where temperatures will be slightly milder.

Up to 5 centimeters is expected over night with a couple more tomorrow morning.
