Dwight Duncan To Resign As The Member Of Provincial Parliament For Windsor-Tecumseh

In a statement released early Thursday morning, Dwight Duncan MPP for Windsor-Tecumseh and Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance announced that he will submit his resignation today, that will be effective Thursday, February 14, 2013.
In his statement Dwight thanked the people of Windsor-Tecumseh for the privilege to serve in public office for nearly 25 years.
Duncan said “For me, on a deeply personal level, it’s time to move on. Spending more time with family and friends is at the top of my ‘to-do’ list. My son Sean’s entire life has been spent with his dad in elected office. He has supported that in every way imaginable. We both love to travel and plan to do a lot more of that.”
Duncan announced no immediate plans for his future, but did say “There are other personal developments, including my next career, which I will have more to say about in the days and weeks ahead.”
