County Crash Claims One Life

A female driver is dead after a two vehicle crash on Essex County Road 11 at Concession 5 in Essex just after 5pm Tuesday evening.
OPP say that for reasons unknown at this time, a vehicle was southbound on Essex County Road 11 and collided with a vehicle that was northbound on Essex County Road 11.
The female driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the other vehicle was transported by EMS to Leamington District Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators has been called in to assist with the investigation.
Traffic is being diverted around the area and the road is expected to remain closed for several more hours.
The investigation is continuing. No name has been released pending notification of next of kin.
