Hello time traveller!!
This article is 3794 days old.
The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

Forced from their old location by construction of the Windsor-Essex Parkway, the Greek Orthodox Church is looking to set up a new location on some former industrial land on Walker Road.

The site is located on the east side of Walker Road just north of the Expressway.  The proposed site includes several now vacant properties including the old Narmco plant as well as Toms woodworking and a vacant residential home and commercial building.

The church is proposing a new church building as well as a separate hall and sports fields around back.

Several planning processes must first be cleaned with the city, the first being to have the land rezoned to permit this use on January 14th.  Once that has been passed, they must then go to site plan control with their final land plans.
