The Salvation Army is sending thanks to all Windsorites who contributed to their Christmas Campaign in 2012 — which wrapped up on Christmas Eve.
“Whether it was standing on or contributing to a kettle, donating a toy or food, or one of the many other ways you supported our efforts – we couldn’t have done it without you. In the final days of the Christmas Kettle Campaign The Salvation Army almost reached its $250,000 goal.” says Perron Goodyear, Public Relations Representative for The Salvation Army.
“We are so grateful to the people of Windsor for their generosity and support of our work, not just at Christmas, but all throughout the year” Goodyear said. “We are overwhelmed and humbled by the confidence shown in us during these extremely difficult economic times”.
Money raised during the Christmas Kettle Campaign helped provide over 1,200 food vouchers and more than 2,600 toy bags this past Christmas and will continue to support The Salvation Army’s Community & Family Services throughout the year.
