Windsor’s bravest braved the elements this afternoon to extinguish a fire in the City’s west end.
Fire broke out in the attic of a home in the 3500 block of Giradot, near Mic Mac Park, just after 1pm and crews quickly made it to the scene, despite the outbreak of a winter storm.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which was largely contained to the house’s attic. All of the house’s occupants made it out safely. Firefighters located and rescued a cat from a bedroom in the home.
There’s no exact word on what caused the fire at this time. Crews are investigating.
