This Friday, the University of Windsor will receive the keys to the old Windsor Star building, and to celebrate the occasion they invite all Windsorites to say Cheese for the Keys.

President Alan Wildeman formally receives the keys at noon and the University would like to jam the streets with as many students, faculty, staff and community well-wishers for a group photo.

“The goal is to capture a photo that will truly represent what this milestone means for our city and our University,” says Chief Communications Officer Holly Ward.

The downtown Tim Hortons locations will be on hand with free coffee for participants and the party will continue as UWindsor boosters are encouraged to stay downtown and visit local restaurants for lunch.

Renovations will begin in the new year to transform the Windsor Star complex into space for programs in social work and the Centre for Executive and Professional Education.
