Thieves Make Off With $20k In Photo Gear From Vehicle

Amherstburg Police are investigating the theft of $20,000 in photography equipment that was taken from the trunk of a vehicle yesterday.
Investigators say that on Thursday November 8th between 11am and 12pm the victim parked his vehicle in the parking lot of the Holiday Beach Memorial Forest on County Road 50 in the Town of Amherstburg.
The victim left his vehicle unattended for approximately one hour while he walked through the forest. When he returned he found the photography equipment was missing.
Amherstburg Police are reminding citizens to lock their vehicle doors, take valuables with you or place them out of sight. Park your vehicle where it can be easily seen by public and where there is sufficient lighting. Consider investing in an anti theft device.
