Leamington Collision Leaves Two Males With Life Threatening Injuries

Leamington OPP are asking for the public help in their investigation of a single vehicle crash which occurred early Sunday morning in the town.

Police say that they received a call at approximately 1:42am to attend the intersection of Talbot Street West, Fraser Road and Oak Street West where they discovered a black 2007 Ford F150 against the west wall of a building at 256 Talbot Street West that had extensive damage.

They say that the two male occupants identified as 40-year-old Andrew Cowan from Leamington and 53-year-old Edward Witt from Windsor were unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle when officers arrived.

Leamington Fire Service arrived and extricated the two males who were initially taken to Leamington Hospital and were subsequently transferred to Hotel Dieu Hospital where they remain, with life threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, to contact Leamington OPP at 519-326-2544. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
