Windsorites Express Their Love Of Bicycles At Thursday Art Show Opening

SB Contemporary Art and Canada South Eco Tours present a community art exhibition in celebration of Windsor’s 54th Via Italia Race (which takes place this coming Sunday) and bike culture itself!
The exhibition, which opens this Thursday with a reception, represents artists of all ages with their photographs, paintings, drawings, mixed media works and sculptures that highlight bike culture, this legacy bike race, and the love of the ride according to organizers.
For the Love of Bikes features the works of Danah Beaulieu, Julie Butler, Cecilia Carcamo, Michael DiRisio, Susan Duxter, Fatima Fakih, Ibrahim Fakih, Khalil Fakih, Fatimah Farhat, Linda Renaud Fisher, Pina Frabotta, Helen Girgenti, Anton Gold, David Hanna, Matthew Hawtin, Pak Ho, Wendy Ho, Nicole Hutchinson, Tim Laskey, Carol Libby, Mary Minutella, Donna Moro, Stephen Nilsson, Peter Olsen, Alina Petrichyn, Walter Petrichyn, Peggy Richards, Kim Rocheleau, Victor Romao, Katherine Roth, Vanessa Sheilds, Danuta Gnat Siniarski, Michal Siniarski, Djordje Srdanov, Sue Stephens, Ivan Trotter, Gulnaz Turdalieva, Mary Anne Van Watteghem, Nicolette Westfall, and Shirley Williams.
The opening reception will be held this Thursday August 30th starting at 7pm at SB Contemporary Art, a gallery at 1017 Church Street (just south of Erie Street West).
Regular gallery hours are Wednesday to Friday 12noon to 5pm and Saturday from 12noon to 4pm.
