Windsor Police Searching for Jeep Thief Who Crashed, Caused Gas Leak

Just after 4:30 this morning, Windsor Police were called to the 1800 block of Central for a report of a vehicle striking a residence and causing a gas leak inside the home.
Police and firefighters evacuated several homes in the area.
Union Gas was called in and subsequently shut the gas off.
Police say that the vehicle, a silver Jeep, left the roadway and travelled through a fence and shrubs. The vehicle struck the residence and ruptured the gas line at the meter.
There were three occupants in the residence and no one in the home was injured. Witnesses describe seeing a male driver and female passenger leaving the area as a male, light-skinned black, early 20’s, short hair no shirt, light blue boxers, dark blue pants, bare feet, a large tattoo on his left hip.
The second was a female white, 5’4″ blonde shoulder length hair carrying a clear purse.
Officers located the registered owner of the vehicle and learned that the vehicle was stolen overnight from the 4700 block of Theresa Place in Windsor.
