Windsor Police are looking for the public’s assistance to identify a driver that hit a 16-year-old boy at the mall Thursday night.
Police say that around 5pm a 16-yr-old was leaving the mall and was attempting to cross Marentette. He saw a gold colour pickup truck travelling south on Marentette, but thought that he could make it across the street, however he collided with the side of the pick up truck.
The driver of the truck stopped to check on the boy and sensing there were no injuries left the scene and did not call police.
The boy then saw a friend driving by who drove the boy home and told his father what had occurred. They ended up going to the Hospital and discovered he had a fractured clavicle.
Police say that even though it is clear the youth was at fault in this collision, the driver of the truck needs to be identified.
Police are asking that the individual who was involved in the collision with this youth are asked to contact the Windsor Police Traffic Division at 519-255-6700 Ext.4211.
