At around 12:20am this morning, Windsor Police were dispatched to Fazio Drive and Via Vita Street in the Spring Garden area of West Windsor for a report of a robbery that had occurred in a nearby park.
Two males, 17 years of age, indicated that they were on a trail in the park when they encountered three male suspects. The three suspects began asking the victims about finding a party. Police say the victims indicated they didn’t find a party and continued to walk.
One of the suspects yelled at the victims to stop walking. One of the victims was grabbed and held by one of the suspects. The other suspects took the victim’s backpack and cell phone. When they threatened to take the second victim’s things, the victim ran towards the street.
Police say the suspects removed a protective cover from the cell phone and discarding it in some bushes as they fled the area. No injuries were reported.
The Windsor Police K-9 unit was deployed and the cell phone cover was successfully recovered. The investigation is continuing.
