Finalized Landscaping Plan To Be Presented at Last-Ever W-E Parkway Open House

The Windsor Essex Mobility Group is hosting its seventh and final Public Information Open House for the Windsor-Essex Parkway next Wednesday August 8th.
Parkway officials say that while community meetings will continue, it is anticipated that this will be the last open house needed in relation to the Parkway design. The main purpose of this open house will be to present the final landscaping plan for the Parkway.
Topics to be discussed are landscaping, general information on noise barriers including walls and berms, and the Parkway trail network.
Also to be addressed will be planned traffic staging related to:
- temporary entrance for St. Clair College
- Sandwich West Parkway
- Cousineau Road closure
- E.C Row Expressway single laning
- required trail closures
- Highway 401 staging
The open house runs from 2pm – 8pm with general presentations at 2:30pm and 6pm. Area-specific discussions will take place at 3pm and 6:30pm. The open house is at the Macedonian Community Centre,
5225 Howard Avenue.
