Campus Community Police at the University of Windsor are investigating an increased number of bicycle thefts on campus in recent weeks.
Police say that several of the thefts have occurred from the bike racks at the Leddy Library and outside of the CAW Student Centre.
Police have been able to identify two persons of interest, a white male and a black male, both in their late teens.
The white male was wearing dark clothing with a white stripe on the side, a red hat and was carrying a black back-pack. The other male was wearing a dark shirt and light coloured shorts, and was riding a bicycle.
Campus Police are asking everyone on campus to pay close attention to any suspicious activity observed around bike racks on campus. Report any suspicious activity such as persons loitering around bicycle racks, persons appearing to be bending over “working” on a bicycle or any behaviour that does not “fit”.
Call Campus Community Police at ext. 1234 or in an emergency, ext. 911
