It has been a milestone twenty weeks since construction started at the site of the future Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor lands and the pool complex has gone from a parking lot, to a dirt field, to a whole, to a great amount of foundation for an actual building.

Concrete floors have been poured and sealed so that they may cure and the project is nearly ready to begin to take shape above ground level. Crews began digging the north end of the pool itself.

windsoriteDOTca is keeping an eye on Aquatic Centre Construction with weekly updates that will eventually form a time lapse. Construction of the aquatic facility is planned to progress in time for the International Children’s Games in August 2013.
