Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch.

Isolated thunderstorm activity has begun to develop over the regions within the past hour. Conditions are favourable for the potential development of severe thunderstorms, with large hail and damaging wind gusts being the main threats. There is also a slight chance of an isolated tornado should more vigorous thunderstorms develop. The severe weather threat is expected to diminish by mid evening.
