Nominations Now Open for Local “Pat on the Back” Green Sustainability Awards

The Windsor Essex County Environment Committee has announced the return of the “Pat on the Back Awards” which provides funding opportunity for local sustainability projects.
Four $500 awards will be given out to small, local organizations that foster sustainability in the community. Some examples of projects that they are looking for include school greening, environmental education or advocacy, community gardens, re-use, recycling or composting, native plant gardens, community cleanups and environmental art.
If you know someone who can use this pat on the back, go here to nominate them.
The deadline to apply is Monday June 18th. The awards will be presented on Wednesday July 4th at the Ojibway Nature Centre.
