For 36 years now, the Poor Boy Luncheon has been a fundraising staple in the community, raising funds in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada
This year it will be held this Friday at the Old Armouries for the last time in downtown Windsor. ADVOCIS along with Great-West Life and London Life annually sponsor the Poor Boy Luncheon which served over 1,000 people in 2011.
The luncheon is served by Tunnel Bar-B-Q who will be serving their own Pulled Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw and chips. Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door. Their will also be grand raffle with a chance to win a trip to Toronto and Ottawa, a bicycle, Luggage and Travel voucher from LaSalle Travel, and a 26 inch TV.
Lunch is served from 11am to 3pm.
