The Windsor Spitfires’ season came to an end Thursday night when they lost to a sweep by the London Knights.

Beaverfest announced that The Cult would take to the stage as the headline act for Saturday June 2nd, part of the three day music festival.

A 25 year old man is facing a charge of “Performing a Stunt on a Highway” after he was clocked by a Windsor Police Officer traveling 52 km/h over the posted speed limit on the E.C. Row Expressway Tuesday night.

For the second time in a week, fire has broken out at the Ouellette Manor Apartments located at 920 Ouellette Avenue, this time on the ground floor.

A fire broke out around 10pm in the 800 block of Pillette and a detached garage next to a house was consumed by smoke and flames  A Windsor Police detective and a fire inspector are investigating the possible use of arson materials such as fire accelerants in the adjoining home (which did not catch fire).
