PHOTOS: Rear of Riverdale House Catches Fire

Firefighters responded to the 400 block of Riverdale Avenue in East Riverside shortly after 3pm this afternoon. Several callers and a Transit Windsor bus called in reports of flames shooting into the sky from the rear of a house near the corner of Riverdale and Cedarview.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that both elderly occupants had made it safely out of the house. There are no reported injuries and the cause is still being investigated at this time.
