Border City Boxing, a not-for-profit club will host an action-packed event featuring local, regional and national match-ups tonight at the Teutonia Club.
The main event features three-time Canadian Champion and Olympic hopeful, Windsor’s own “Sweet” Sammy El Mais. He will go toe-to-toe with newly-crowned National B-team member, Paul Rasmussen from the TNT Boxing Club in Guelph. Rasmussen is also a former Ringside World Champion and Provincial Champion. This is the third showdown between the two heavyweights.
Other local boxers on the fight card are (Border City) Josh Cameron, Fouad Nader, Marley Abdu, Derek Kuchmey and Nathan Campbell; (Windsor Amateur Boxing Club) Gordon Guenette, Aaron Spada and Hunter Lee; (Rough Boxing) Sydney Pitre; (Fighting Island – Lasalle) Steve Wigle; (Leamington) William Ellwood and Mike Bancroft.
Cost is $20. Doors open at 6pm and the fights start at 7pm.
