Fatal Crash at Renaud Line and County Road 42

County Road 42 and Renaud Line (Google Street View)
Lakeshore OPP are currently at a fatal crash scene located at County Road 42 and Renaud Line in Lakeshore.
OPP say that the crash occurred at approximately 8:50am and that it involved a pick truck and a tractor-trailer.
Initial police reports indicate that the driver of the pick up failed to negotiate a stop sign and the south bound pick up truck crossed the path of the tractor-trailer.
The driver of the pick up truck was ejected and passed away on scene as a result of injuries sustained.
Lakeshore Fire and Rescue, Coxon’s Enviromental Service, Hydro One and OPP are all at scene dealing with what OPP describe as a “multitude of issues” which include, Hydro wires across the scene, diesel fuel leaking from the gas tank of the tractor-trailer.
The Technical Traffic Investigation Team has been called out to attend from a comprehensive investigation.
County Road 42 will be closed from Puce Rd (County Road d 25) to Rourke Line until 1pm. Motorists are asked to avoid this area.
