It’s been a busy night for Windsor Fire and Rescue on the City’s west-end. Around 10:30pm, firefighters responded to the 3100 block of Donnelly for a fire in an apartment unit.
Upon returning from extinguishing that blaze, firefighters were called to the Kenora Motel in the 2000 block of Huron Church Road for an activated fire alarm and heavy smoke pouring from a second-story motel unit.
The manager of the motel peeked into the unit and discovered fire. Arriving firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before they spread to adjoining units.
No injuries are reported as no one was in the unit at the time. Damage is still being assessed and the unit has been scheduled to be boarded up.
