This afternoon, students of all faiths will gather in the basement of the CAW Student center on the University of Windsor campus to celebrate the grand opening of a new Multi-Faith Space.
The new space is located in what used to be the University’s used book store, has been under construction since the summer, and is being funded by both the University and the University Student Alliance. The new space will provide space for variety of spiritual and faith-based religious practices.
Currently religious groups use space in Cody Hall to practice their faith, but that building will be torn down in the summer of 2012. The International student center is also housed in that building and will move to a new location in Laurier Hall.
The space will officially open this afternoon at 2:00 pm.
