In order to meet the back-to-school rush for Transit Windsor student passes and tickets, Transit Windsor will have extended sales hours. “We anticipate the usual rush of back-to-school sales,” says Councillor Ed Sleiman, Vice Chairman of Transit Windsor Board of Directors. “It seems the student bus passes and tickets are often a last-minute purchase, so we want to be sure that we make it as easy as possible for students – and their parents!”
Transit Windsor will be offering extended hours at the Transit Centre throughout the weekend. “Many of our staff are parents too,” says Penny Williams, Transit Windsor General Manager, “so we know exactly how crazy back-to-school shopping and planning can be for everyone. We’re putting special hours in place to help parents get everything done in time for the new school year.”
The sales outlet at Transit Centre located at 3700 North Service Road East at Central will be open for extended hours all this weekend, including Labour Day Monday. Hours are today Sunday, September 4th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Holiday Monday, September 5th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Windsor International Transit Terminal located downtown at 300 Chatham Street West is open seven days a week, from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm. Transit Windsor photo ID and gift certificates are available at both of these locations.
