This past week in Windsor began with a video of a surprise wedding that took place last weekend. windsoriteDOTca had the video up first, and it has since gone viral on the net and appeared on many popular television and news shows in both Canada and the United States.
It was a busy week on the border front as demolition work continued making room for the W-E Parkway. Thursday marked the end of a South Windsor icon, as Fred’s Farm Fresh was torn down. Owner Fred Bouzide got to take the first swing at his former building.
A long standing West Side restaurant went up for auction, while over on Huron Church a new restaurant is preparing to open.
The Hospice of Windsor kicked off their annual fundraising campaign and we learned about a literacy book drive that is in need of books.
An early morning fire destroyed an abandoned home on Thursday, while a highrise fire Friday night gutted an apartment.
