As of 12:10 pm a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Windsor – Leamington – Essex County

Potential for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall.

A humid and unstable airmass over Extreme Southwestern Ontario combined with an approaching low pressure system will create ideal conditions for severe thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening. The main threat from these storms will be damaging winds, large hail and a possible tornado.
