How do you make learning about fire safety and injury prevention fun for kids of all ages? Simple, just add a little baseball.
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and the Children’s Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County have teamed up with The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Team and the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council for a “Swing into Summer” Safety Campaign. This campaign is aimed at improving public safety in Ontario by educating and raising awareness with school-age children and their families about fire safety and other injury prevention tips over the summer.
Windsor Fire and Rescue Services will hold open houses held at the Children’s Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County located at 7911 Forest Glade Drive every Wednesday from July 6 to August 24 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Everyone is invite you to step up to the plate and hit a home run for your family and community by participating. Come and visit the Windsor-Essex Children’s Safety Village, meet the firefighters and Sparky and get your free baseball cards.
