The Downtown Windsor Farmers Market, situated at 44 University Avenue East, is a great local event to reserve one (or many more) Saturday mornings to come and experience. Continuing Saturdays until October 8th, this event holds an assortment of treats, goods, and other activities.
Some things you may expect when visiting the Downtown Farmers Market are: fruits and vegetables, Lake Erie perch, face painting, C’est Bon Nuts, baked goods, and organic products.
The service is pleasant, as all the proprietors are easy to approach and to answer any questions. The owner of Shaka Java yesterday, for example, gave me a sample bag of their Panama Red blend to test out.
The local community was embracing the local and some out-of-town vendors, with accompanied live music and contest draws.
Next weekend will feature guests from the Windsor Woodcarving and Community Museum.
