This week will be the hottest week of the summer so far.
Environment Canada says that increasing humidity and temperatures will result in day time high temperatures in the 30°C to 35°C or that’s 86°F to 95°F range today with maximum humidex values from 40°C to 42°C or 104°F to 107°F.
The hot, hazy and humid conditions will continue over Extreme Southwestern Ontario for the next few days and into the upcoming weekend.
During times of high heat and humidity, it is critical to stay properly hydrated by drinking Plenty of fluid like water or juice. Strenuous outdoor activities should be scheduled during the early morning or evening hours. Wear loose-fitting, lightweight clothing. Spend as much time as possible in air-conditioned places. Stay out of the sun and never leave elderly, children or pets unattended in a car.
