When the WFCU Centre opened on 2008, it was two entrances off of McHugh Street labeled as East and West Entrances.
When the Spitfires finished their first hockey season in the new arena, they entrances were renamed to reflect symbolic points in the Spits history.
The East was named Mickey Renaud Way in recognition of the Spitfires captain who passed away at the age of 18. The West was named Memorial Cup Drive in recognition of the Windsor Spitiress first win of the Memorial Cup in 2009.
It is now being recommended that Memorial Cup Drive be renamed to 2 Memorial Cup Drive to celebrate the team winning two cups. Also, if the Spitfires win other Memorial Cups the name would be changed to reflect that.
