Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of Windsor and Essex County.
Scattered thunderstorms are occurring ahead of a low pressure system over Indiana. They will tend to intensify throughout the day and slowly migrate eastwards. Large hail of 2 to 3 centimetres is the main concern. There will be an increasing threat for strong damaging wind gusts as well as an isolated tornado risk this afternoon. Frequent intense lightning and torrential downpours may also be expected.
