Hello time traveller!!

The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

This Monday evening, City council will be presented with a list of nine Infrastructure Stimulus Fund projects that will be applying for an extension to the original March 31st completion deadline.  The extension was announced by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on December 2nd, 2010, and now allows for all projects to be completed by October 31st, 2011.

The nine projects the city needs more time to complete are:

Ojibway Prairie Complex

The  city expects that most of the above noted projects to be nearly completed by the original deadline, with the exception of the Riverfront Retention Basin.  The work remaining on the others is mainly streetscapeing, landscaping and painting, which is all weather dependent work.  With the new deadline, the city thought it was prudent to extend all the projects to have the opportunity to perform the work in better weather conditions.
