The City of Windsor is looking for some Angels.
The Snow Angels is a volunteer program coordinated by the Public Works Department to assist seniors and those with physical disabilities in removal of snow from their sidewalks. Snow Angels volunteers get matched with residents in their neighbourhoods requiring the service.
In addition, the program, in conjunction with the Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU), has established a matching $250.00 Snow Angels Bursary. The bursary will be awarded based on a points total for the winter season. Students may work as individuals or in pairs.
This is a great opportunity for students to help achieve their volunteer service credits necessary to graduate from high school.
Visit www.citywindsor.ca for an application form or call 311 to register as a volunteer.
