Ever been to Environment Canada’s Weather website? Got lost? If you’re on twitter, we’ve used free tech tools to put together a simple weather forecasts, conditions and twitter alert system for people in Windsor & Essex County.
WindsorEssexWX is so simple: it pulls weather alerts from Environment Canada’s website RSS feeds (a tool used to keep track of blogs, webpages, etc) and sticks them on one twitter account for you to follow.
Now here’s a bit of a disclaimer – technology isn’t perfect, we can’t guarantee anything nor can we be responsible if this doesn’t work, but it mostly works the way it should. WindsorEssexWX’s weather alerts may not be instantaneous, but they are as quick as possible. If you are looking for a sure-fire way to get the latest weather alerts and info, consider buying a weather radio or tuning into official government weather sources.
