Windsor SOUP hosted their ninth event on Sunday at the Walkerville Brewery.

The event continued to follow its format, with four presenters speaking about their projects for four minutes, followed by four questions from attendees.

Sunday’s event brought in approximately 230 community members. This event raised $3,100 which set a new record for Windsor SOUP.

Justice Fournier, received the maximum support by voters and won the micro-grant collected at Sunday’s event.

Fournier’s project is called Joint Ventures Unlimited. His project is to create and provide a social space for youth in the community to learn, grow and potentially create a “fair and balanced” society.

Joint Ventures Unlimited will engage its members through nutrition, training, life coaching, motivational speaking, music and art.

Fournier will use the funds received from Sunday’s event to secure a new location for their operations as well as cover rent and equipment costs.

Enactus Windsor and Pathway to Potential announced their new partnership with Libro Credit Union.

Libro Credit Union has contributed $13,000 towards Windsor SOUP programs in 2015.  This contribution supports more than 10 events throughout the year.  Each Windsor SOUP  winner will receive a $500 donation.  Another $500 will be contributed to cover the cost of the event.
