A 40-year-old Windsor man received a three-day roadside suspension after his car flipped over and took out a traffic light this morning.
Police say they were called to the corner of Dougall and Eugenie around 2am, and when they arrived they found a 2002 Chrysler lying on its roof in the middle of the road with a traffic signal and pole also severely damaged after being struck by the car.
Police located the driver who received some very minor injuries and determined that he had been drinking. A roadside breathalyzer was administered which resulted in the roadside suspension. He was also issued a ticket for careless driving.
The damage to the car and pole was estimated to be approximately $20,000.
