Hello time traveller!!

Fire broke out in a vacant house on Cameron Street just before 10pm this evening and firefighters braved rain coming down in sheets to put it out.

Crews were called to a house in the 500 block of Cameron for reports of smoke above the house and found smoke protruding through the roof. Firefighters discovered flames on the first floor of the building and were able to extinguish it within ten minutes of arriving.

Heavy rain didn’t get in the way of fighting the fire, but it kept onlookers mostly inside their own homes.

No one was home in the house that caught fire. Police have been called to the scene to investigate.
