Windsor may have won the last two years in a row, but Team Detroit was victorious by three seconds in the 2012 Tug Across the River held yesterday.
Around 100 people gathered at Dieppe Park on Windsor’s Riverfront to watch Team Windsor compete against Detroit.
The yearly competition, where volunteers pull in a long rope stretched to the middle of the river, was over in just under four minutes.
Team Detroit is leading against Team Windsor after twenty-seven years of the event: the Americans have won 14 times and the Canadians have won 13 times.
